HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes workshop.plant tour WI MINUTES CLAY COUNTY UTILITY AUTHORITY WORKSHOP SESSION January 23, 2023 The Board of Supervisors of the Clay County Utility Authority (the "CCUA") met in a Workshop Session at the Administrative Facility located at 3176 Old Jennings Road at 8:00 A.M. for the purpose of an informational tour. Item No. 1 —Tour The tour began at 8:04 A.M. Supervisors Gardella and Starnieri were in attendance. Also present on the tour were the following members of CCUA's staff; Executive Director Jeremy Johnston, Chief Operations Officer Darryl Muse, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Wesselman, Chief Human Resources Officer Kimberly Richardson, Distribution & Collection Department Superintendent David Rawlins, and Public & Governmental Affairs Liaison Dennis Ragosta. Attendees viewed presentations outlining CCUA's Geographic Information System& Asset Management-Predictive Maintenance Approach presented by Senior GIS Analyst Rita Matti-Coles, Customer Outreach and Regional Network Interface presented by Customer Service & Billing Manager Diana Strickland, and Information Systems Risk and Resiliency presented by IT Manager Dale Shoenfelt. A tour was also conducted of CCUA's Maintenance Facilities. ca cThe Workshop Session was recessed at 9:20 A.M. and reconvened at 9:35 A.M. at the Meadow Lake Water a Treatment Plant. The tour of the plant included an explanation of the water treatment process and staff conducted a ca o demonstration of the sewer collection system maintenance process using a Vac-con and Cues TV truck adjacent to E the plant on Bass Court. a 'a') The Workshop Session was recessed at 10:12 A.M. and reconvened at 10:17 A.M. at the Glenhaven Wastewater Pump Station where staff conducted a tour of the station and explained its operation. Staff also reviewed the history of the Mid-Clay Reclaimed Water Rapid Infiltration and Recovery Basins and their importance to CCUA's reuse program. The Workshop Session was recessed at 10:44 A.M. and reconvened at 10:53A.M. at the future location of the Potable Reuse Pilot Project which is currently under construction. The Workshop Session was recessed at 11:05 A.M. and reconvened at 11:10 A.M. at the Mid-Clay Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility where staff provided a tour of the BCR Building and explained its operation and the wastewater treatment process. No action was taken during the workshop session. The tour was conducted to familiarize the attendees with CCUA's daily operations and plant functions.
