Project No.: 50154364 Dear Ms. Ortiz: Complete Services Well Drilling, Inc. (CWDS) provides construction services for the Governor's Park Water Treatment Plant Supply Wells. Change Order Request No. 1 is proposed to extend the contract time by 30 days due to delays associated with increased hydrogen sulfide concentrations encountered during the construction of Well No. 2. After drilling the well to total depth. decisions between Clay County and the Dewberry Team were necessary to determine if these concentrations were acceptable and required further water quality testing to document background concentrations. Additional water quality sampling was performed during step-drawdown testing, causing delays in final geophysical logging. After to a review of the additional data, Clay County indicated that the increased hydrogen sulfide concentrations were within the range of values acceptable for the design of the water treatment facility. CWDS submitted a change order request on August 8, 2023, for a 30-day contract extension. Schedule The Substantial Completion contract time was 240 days by August 31. 2023. Now the Substantial Completion contract time is 270 days by September 30. 2023. and a Final Completion date of October 30. 2023, Budget: This Change Order Request No. 1 does not affect the contract amount of S1,087,490.
