I would like to introduce the Wastewater team at Clay County to the Wet Well Wizard. The Wizard is a
simple air ejection system that will initially emulsify and suspend all the FOG at your station then over
time, as the Aerobic population takes over and air transfer occurs inside the well the aerobes will
consume the FOG as it passes through. This will give you a pre treatment effect at your lift station and
condition the water to reduce your cost at the next lift station. Although there may be H2S that enters
the wet well from up stream causing odors, you will no longer see additional H2S created at the station
because the ORP comes up to close to zero over time, again an indication that the anaerobic activity is
ceasing and the aerobes are taking over which has numerous positive effects. In addition to not
creating additional H2S,this in turn lowers your corrosion rate at the station and down stream as the
thiobacillus bacteria no longer have food that they can convert to sulfuric acid.To date, I see the
Questions or positives of the Wet Well Wizard as: Emulsifies grease, and within two weeks no liquid grease is being
Comments: sent down-line (must build the DO level in the well first). Does not allow rags and grease to attach to
each other. As DO is increased in the wet well, H2S is reduced in the lift station and also bacteria is
cleaning the main line leading downstream. The maintenance on the Air Release Valves will be
decreased due to the lack of coagulated FOG being built up inside of them. The pumps in the wet well
have not had any problems with cavitation due to the Wizard's ability to eject too large of a bubble 2
feet above the volutes of a pump. Minimize the use of cleaner trucks at pump stations. May help
eliminate the use of odor control systems. General cleaning time of the wet wells will be reduced
dramatically, although there is an intake filter to be cleaned on the Wizard system. Eliminate the use of
Bioxide. Eliminate the use of a mechanical mixer. I have over 20 references in the state of Florida. Who
would be the correct person to introduce this product to at Clay County?
