Home My WebLink AboutEDB Insituform TO#38 at Moody and Meadows EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AGENDA ITEM: Request approval of Task Order #38 with Insituform Technologies, LLC (Insituform) for the Moody Avenue and Meadow Drive Stormwater Pipe Cured in Place Pipe(CIPP)Lining CCUA Bid No. 18/19-A7(c) Date:February 10,2022 BACKGROUND: The Board of Supervisors awarded Part C of the Sewer, Wetwell and Manhole Rehabilitation Services continuing contract to Insituform at the June 4,2019,meeting. On February 1, 2022, a water leak occurred along Moody Avenue at Meadow Drive in Orange Park.Staff identified an 8-inch water main break flooding the area and compromising the roadway. Staff shut off valves to isolate the damaged pipe and deployed a repair crew. Internal crews and equipment could complete the water main repair within a day. However, in completing this repair, CCUA removed a Clay County stormwater pipe to access the water main. Clay County inspectors (0 expressed concern the removal and replacement would compromise the integrity of the pipe. To a quickly reopen the intersection,both parties agreed that CCUA would engage Insituform to line a the pipe later. The proposed project scope includes rehabilitating the Clay County owned co o stormwater pipe along Moody Avenue at Meadow Drive, as depicted on the attached map. c BUDGET: re Staff reviewed Insituform's proposal and determined the fee of$21,939.12 to be reasonable and consistent with the unit pricing contract. Since this does not involve a CCUA asset, funding will come from the Distribution &Collection Department's operating budget. RECOMMENDATION: Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors approve Task Order #38 with Insituform Technologies,LLC for the Moody Avenue and Meadow Drive Stormwater Pipe Cured in Place Pipe Lining.
