HomeMy WebLinkAboutCA Proposed SA No 1 with R2T to Master Contract 2021-2022 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AGENDA ITEM: Proposed Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to Master Contract 2021/2022-A03 for R2T, Inc. to provide Construction Services for the Fleming Island WRF Clarifier No. 1 Rehabilitation project. Date: April 5, 2022 BACKGROUND: In February 2022, CCUA contracted with R2T,Inc. and three other General Contractors to provide water and wastewater infrastructure general construction services on an as-needed continuing basis. CCUA established this agreement under Master Contract 2021/2022-A03, which was approved by the Board on February 1, 2022. Staff bid the Fleming Island WRF Clarifier 1 project to the 4 general contractors under the continuing contract. Due to a scheduling oversight, one of the 4 contractors (Wharton Smith) did not attend the mandatory Pre-Bid meeting and was precluded from submitting a bid. es a This project will replace the internal clarifier mechanism and repair the structural components of o the clarifier, which was built approximately 30 years ago. On March 29, 2022, CCUA received Lthree bids for this project. A summary of the bids received is as follows: 3 d ce Bidders Bid Value Received Petticoat Schmidt $977,000.00 PBM Contractors $797,552.00 R2T $737,474.14 R2T, Inc. submitted the low bid for this project in the amount of$737,474.14. BUDGET: Staff reviewed R2T,Inc's bid and determined the price of$737,474.14 to be the lowest responsive bid. Staff budgeted for this project in the approved FY 22 Capital Improvement Plan. Mobilization/Demobilization, General Requirements, Bonds and insurance. B. Site Work 1. Contractor is responsible for protecting existing materials,structures,and equipment on-site during construction activities. C. Allowance provided for cured in place piping (CIPP) of the existing 6-inch recycle activated sludge pipe. to D. Conduction all necessary testing and start-up. E. Prepare Record Drawings.
