Home My WebLink AboutCA Civil and Enviromental Engineering Renewal Final EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AGENDA ITEM: Request Approval of Contract Renewal for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Professional Services RFQ 17/18 No. 3 Date: April 28,2022 BACKGROUND: Staff requests approval for continuation of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Professional Services contracts for the fourth of five years. Staff routinely use these contracts to conduct engineering studies of$500,000 or less or to design and procure construction projects of$4 million or less. Staff's use of these contracts improves the utility's capability by leveraging additional professional resources and expertise for these specialized services. These contracts reduce the amount of time to conduct a project by four(4)to six(6)months. ° The Continuing Contracts expire on May 27,2022. The Contracts are with the following firms: ° Carollo Engineers, Inc. CDM Smith Inc. 3 CHA Consulting,Inc. (FKA Reiss Engineering) Ardurra(FKA Constatine Engineering, Inc.) Four Waters Engineering, Inc. Dewberry Engineers Inc(FKA Hydo Solutions Consulting,LLC) Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. J. Collins Engineering Associates,LLC Jones Edmunds &Associates Parsons Transportation Group Inc. The contracts allow two (2) additional one (1)year renewals, contingent upon mutual agreement of both parties. All firms agreed to renew the contract with no price increases. All firms are meeting expectations. RECOMMENDATION: Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors approve the extension ofthe Continuing Contracts for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Professional Services, RFQ#18/19 No. 3 for an additional one-year term.
