Shoemaker, P.E, Chief Operations Officer.S1"p��q DATE: April 28, 2022 RE: Customer Water Demand, March 2022 We completed our analysis of the March 2022 billing data and Water Treatment Plant(WTP)pumping records.Based on that review,we offer the following observations: • Water conservation for the month of March was 33.85% (see Chart 1) and fiscal year-to- date water conservation was 24.35%(see Chart 2). • Historically, customer demand increases in the month of March. The total water demand for March was 350.16 million gallons(MG).The total demand for water increased from the prior month by 33.06 MG. Chart 3 shows the total water pumping over time with seasonal variations. • Total WTP pumping has decreased 24.4% from the 2008-2009 base years even though the number of active residential customers has increased. cc • Based upon our analysis of the March 2022 residential billing data, we conclude the ° following items: r 3 o Tier 1 customers account for 70.8%of total residential customers. o Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers account for 94.5%of total residential customers. ce o Tier 1 customers use an average of 102 gallons per day(gpd). o Tier 4 customers use an average of 868 gpd, which is approximately eight(8) times the usage rate of Tier 1. • In the month of March, CCUA delivered 116.73 MG of reclaimed water to our customers. Customer total reclaimed water demand increased by 26.19 MG from the previous month. In March, 34.13% of reclaimed water customers had zero usage. The average reclaimed water demand per customer account was 252 gpd. Data from the National Weather Service (NWS) at the Jacksonville International Airport (JIA) indicates rainfall during March was 3.02", which is 0.93" below normal. The mean temperature for the month of March was 0.80°F below normal.
