RE: Chemical Based Odor Control with USP Technologies (USP)
On February 1, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved a service contract with USP to provide
chemical-based odor control for Ridaught Landing Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) due to
continuous odor complaints. USP provided equipment delivery, installation, and ongoing operation
and maintenance. USP started feeding hydrogen peroxide on April 13, 2022. The attached graph
shows a reduction in Hydrogen sulfide(H2S)at the WRF headworks just after that date.Based on the
data and no further complaints, I consider this project a success. USP will continue to operate the
co
system into the foreseeable future.
