of Neptune Meters.

BACKGROUND:
CCUA uses an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system to meter and bill customer water use. Our
ability to set meters for new customers and replace aging or failing meters remains central to providing timely
and accurate services to our customers. Sensus has and will continue to support CCUA as a primary and valued
meter and equipment supplier. Due to current and ongoing supply chain issues and consistent demand to
-`a provide service,staff sought out an alternative meter supplier that can seamlessly integrate with CCUA's AMI
asystem. Neptune produces meters and meter equipment that integrate with CCUA systems. Due to this
co seamless integration and the need to diversify our meter and meter equipment supply chain, staff requests
o designating Neptune meters sole authorized distributer, Ferguson Water Works dba Sunstate Meter as a sole
3 source supplier for CCUA.

The Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement was advertised to the public on the CCUA Bonfire
Procurement Portal for seven(7)business days. As a result,no interested firms or individuals responded with
capabilities to provide Neptune Meters.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant sole source status to Ferguson WW #3648 dba
Sunstate Meter& Supply, Inc., to provide Neptune Meters as needed.

Please note that Ferguson Water Works, is the sole authorized Neptune
Distributor with a resell supply agreement in the State of Florida.
The geographical area of responsibility assigned to them includes all Counties
within the State of Florida.
Types: Classes of customers exclusively assigned are: Municipalities, private
water companies, contractors, and plumbers.
Hence, our Distributor(s) are required to maintain a sufficient inventory of
Neptune Water Metering Products to provide customer field servicing.
