Request for advance approval to utilize other government contracts. Mitigating supply chain
disruption using equipment pre-purchase for Peters Creek Regional Water Reclamation Facility(RWRF).
BACKGROUND:
On October 5, 2021, the Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) Board of Supervisors provided
advance approval to procure services and/or materials utilizing other government contracts for
Fiscal Year 2021/2022.
Staff has budgeted for the following purchases and seeks approval to add the following referenced
contracts to the approved list of other government contracts:
1. Sourcewell CAT Diesel & Natural Gas Generator Sets Contract No. 120617-CAT. Staff
has budgeted for the purchase of a CAT generator 750kw, automatic transfer switch, and
standalone fuel tank (diesel) convault. Due to supply shortages and lengthy estimated
delivery time for material needed to complete the Peters Creek RWRF Project, Staff will
(a use the Sourcewell Contract to pre-purchase this material needed as a component of the
project. After conducting a price analysis, Staff discovered this formally solicited contract
(a offered best overall pricing and value.
