RE: Customer Water Demand, June 2022
We completed our analysis of the June 2022 billing data and Water Treatment Plant(WTP)pumping
records.Based on that review,we offer the following observations:
• Water conservation for the month of June was 9.65% (see Chart 1) and fiscal year-to-date
water conservation was 21.77%(see Chart 2).
• Historically,customer demand peaks in the month of June.The total water demand for June
was 459.8 million gallons(MG).The total demand for water decreased from the prior month
by 6.9 MG. Chart 3 shows the total water pumping over time with seasonal variations.
• Total WTP pumping has decreased 1.52% from the 2008-2009 base year' even though the
number of active residential customers has increased.
• Based upon our analysis of the June 2022 residential billing data,we conclude the following
-0 items:
o Tier 1 customers account for 62.5%of total residential customers.
o Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers account for 87.5%of total residential customers.
o Tier 1 customers use an average of 100 gallons per day(gpd).
o Tier 4 customers use an average of 920 gpd, which is approximately nine (9) times
ce the usage rate of Tier 1.
• In the month of June, CCUA delivered 167.54 MG of reclaimed water to our customers.
Customer total reclaimed water demand decreased by 35.45 MG from the previous month.In
June, 23.29% of reclaimed water customers had zero usage. The average reclaimed water
demand per customer account was 363 gpd.
Data from the National Weather Service (NWS) at the Jacksonville International Airport (JIA)
indicates rainfall during June was 1.17", which is 6.43"below normal. The mean temperature for
the month of June was 0.4°F above normal.

October 2021 to June 2022 total pumping=3,438.2 million gallons(current year)
