BACKGROUND:
Clay County Utility Authority's(CCUA)Water Treatment Department purchases chemical storage tank
systems on an as-needed basis throughout the year. The chemical storage tanks are essential to CCUA's
daily operation,and the current process is extremely time consuming for both staff and suppliers. CCUA
completed this solicitation to ensure a contract is in place to procure as needed. On June 24, 2022, staff
advertised the above-referenced project in the Florida Times Union and CCUA Bonfire Procurement
Portal on June 27, 2022. At the July 25, 2022, Bid Opening, CCUA received one (1)bid from Carl Eric
Johnson Inc., for Polyethylene IMFO® Crosslinked Tank Systems. The contract term will be for one
(1)year, with an option to renew up to four(4) additional years, with a mutual agreement.

LThe Water Treatment Department budgeted an annual amount of$17,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors award the Polyethylene IMFO® Crosslinked Tank
Systems contract, Bid No. 21/22-A22 to Carl Eric Johnson Inc., for an annual estimated amount not to
exceed $17,000. Additionally, Staff requests approval of the attached Bid Opening Documents.
