BACKGROUND:
Staff requests approval to grant sole source status to TSC Jacobs North/TSC Jacobs South for the pre-purchase
of a Universal Blower Pac Positive Displacement Blower System (PD blowers) for the Peters Creek Water
Reclamation Facility expansion project, and future PD blower needs.
co CCUA uses these PD blowers as its standard to provide mixing and aeration in certain biological treatment
c units. The positive displacement blowers are needed for interim modifications to the existing package plant to
:' increase capacity while the expanded 1.5 million gallon per day facility is being constructed.. The same blower
o package will then be used as part of the expanded 1.5 million gallon per day facility. The blowers have an
L expected delivery time of 32 weeks after order.

cc The Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement was advertised to the public on the CCUA Bonfire
Procurement Portal for seven(7)business days. As a result,no interested firms or individuals responded with
capabilities to provide Positive Displacement Blower System.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant sole source status to TSC Jacobs North/TSC Jacobs
South, to provide Positive Displacement Blower Systems as needed.
