AGENDA ITEM:
Request for financing of Developer Agreement charges for a wastewater service to 762 Clay
Street, Fleming Island, Clay County, Florida.
BACKGROUND:
CCUA staff received the attached financing request from Mrs. Amy Harrell, who is requesting
the Board of Supervisors' approval to finance the Developer Agreement charges of$10,503.03
for a wastewater service at the above-referenced property, under our normal financing
arrangements, for a period of ten (10) years. As stated in the request, Mr. and Mrs. Harrell are
unable to afford such a large expense in one lump sum payment due to the recent purchase of
their home and limited funds for the multiple unexpected repairs being required.
RECOMMENDATION:

a Due to limited risk, staff respectfully recommends approval of Mr. and Mrs. Harrell request to
la finance the Developer Agreement charges of$10,503.03. CCUA has granted similar terms to
o other property owners. In addition, CCUA has lien rights as Mr. and Mrs. Harrell hold title to
3 the subject property. This assures CCUA will recover the principal and accrued interest in the
z event of a default.

Good afternoon -
We would like to move forward with connecting to city sewer. Would you please advise if financing is available?
We are unable to afford a $16,000 estimate from the plumber and the$10,000+estimate from clay utilities out right. As
the plumber does not offer financing we had to choose. If financing is not an option, please let us know as soon as
possible so we can look into other options and move forward.
I've attached a copy of our homestead paperwork that we are submitting this week to the county.
