EVENTS March is here and spring is in the air. Hopefully,the nice mild weather holds for Spring Break, St.
Patrick's Day,and the other special events this month.
Upcoming Holidays
Springtime is also when we begin making plans for graduations, weddings, and vacations.These
St.Patrick's Day events are important and activities we enjoy, cherish, and remember for a lifetime. We want

to communicate request for time-off with your supervisors as soon as possible. We want to

`��� A huge thank you to the CCUA Wellness Committee! Linda Ortiz Figueroa is leading an employee
yoga group on Wednesday evenings. For those of you who have not had the opportunity to work

Coordinator. Ashley Taliaferro recently initiated a Healthier Living newsletter. Victoria Quick

Upcoming Wellbeing and look forward to participating in these upcoming events.
Events I recently received notice that two CCUA facilities were nominated to receive the Domestic
Wastewater Plant Operations Excellence Award from the Florida Department of Environmental
Yoga Protection (FDEP). The Wastewater Treatment Department will receive awards or the Governors
Wednesday @ 5:15 PM, CCUA Park and Keystone Heights facilities. We greatly appreciate and value the efforts of everyone in
Board Room the Wastewater Treatment Department.We also want to express our appreciation and gratitude
to Heather Webber who led the effort to coordinate and complete the applications with the
Clay County Young Life Hula FDEP.This is a great example of team effort. Great job!

Saturday, May 6th Next, the CCUA team is beginning to receive national attention. Members of our team will
coordinate with CDM Smith to present on our Strategic Planning efforts at the upcoming
Ocho de Mayhem Trail Run & American Water Works Association (AWWA) Utility Management Conference(UMC)at the end of
Black Knight DONNA this month. Our planning progress and ability to present on these efforts reflect a tremendous

RETIREMENT
The Clay County Utility Authority Retirement Committee and SageView have been working Bryce Adams
hard. Your comments and concerns have been heard. After reviewing five potential Operator Trainee,WW
candidates, a vendor has been selected. As many of you may be aware, the CCUA
Employee Retirement Plan will be transitioning to MissionSquare. Kyle Holzschuher
Chief Operator,WW
Lorraine Rodriguez will be the face of MissionSquare Retirement. She will be responsible
for employee group presentations on a variety of financial services. She will be meeting New Employees
individually with you, the plan participant to discuss your retirement goals. Her goal is to Welcome:
assist you in making responsible and appropriate investment decisions, and provide
materials and resources specific to the plans that are available. William Thomason

You will begin receiving communications in the coming weeks and months, including a
timeline for the transition as well as and dates for upcoming educational meetings.
Our primary goal is to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.

As mentioned in February's edition of the Pipeline, CCUA is well on it's way to transitioning Nate Knepper and his

Collaborative's objective is to focus on preparing CCUA to align and adopt Workday quality
practices throughout the implementation, and introduce concepts for managing, iterating, -
and tailoring Workday to meet our needs after we go-live. Collaborative will help staff
identify areas of change and transformation. When potential deviation from quality
practices are identified, staff will be challenged to explore their current process as critically
as possible and be open to new ideas that are believed to present opportunities.

workflow processes and identify areas where there is room for opportunity to increase
effectiveness and efficiency throughout our organization. \
