With the start of summer, we Holidays also get to enjoy time with our families at the pool, beach, fishing, or participating in other activities. I hope you all find time to do whatever it is that brings you joy. Father's Day Sunday,June 18th June 1st is the beginning of hurricane season in the Atlantic Basin. The team recently completed the annual update to the CCUA Hurricane Manual. The updates include Juneteenth revisions to the Emergency Pay Policy, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors at -`a Monday,June 19th the May 16th, 2023, meeting. We included input from the team in completing these aci (office closed) updates. a rs o Independence Day Please review the updated Hurricane Manual and Emergency Pay Policy as we enter the Tuesday,July 4th 2023 hurricane season. Additionally, all field operations staff need to refamiliarize 46 (office closed) themselves with the use of the United States National Grid (USNG) system. Florida's Department of Emergency Management mandates the use of the USNG system in our Retirement Blackout Period coordination with the Clay County Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Our use of the June 8th -June 23rd USNG system will make our engagement with outside support more effective in the event CCUA takes a direct impact from a severe storm. EMPLOYEE Heat exhaustion happens when your body overheats (gets too hot) and can't cool itself down. SPOTLIGHT Your body can overheat during exercise or any physical activity, especially in hot, humid weather. Promotions! During physical activity,your body loses fluids through sweat. If you don't replace those fluids by drinking water or other liquids,you can become dehydrated. Dehydration can also put you at Chris Bryant risk for heat exhaustion.
