Request to grant sole source status to Gilson Engineering Sales, Inc. for the purchase of the EchoSmart
Interface Level Analyzers.

BACKGROUND:
The Notice of Intent to award a sole source procurement was advertised to the public on CCUA's Bonfire
Procurement Portal for seven (7) business days. As a result, no interested firms or individuals responded
with the capabilities to provide the EchoSmart Interface Level Analyzers.
CCUA will negotiate a sole-source procurement to purchase EchoSmart Interface Level Analyzers and
related equipment and supplies. CCUA would contract this procurement with Gilson Engineering Sales,
o Inc. as they are the only authorized EchoSmart Interface Level Analyzer Representative in the State of
I-
Florida for instrumentation and parts.
cc RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant sole source status to Gilson Engineering Sales,
Inc. for the purchase of EchoSmart Interface Level Analyzers, related equipment, and supplies.

Representative in western PA, southern OH, WV, KY and FL for
instrumentation and parts.

any future service or support activities.
Echo Smart Interface Level Analyzers are unique, in that our Smart Sensor
technology enables us to control up to 16 Smart Sensors with one
EchoSmart Controller. In addition, startup is trouble free through the use
of our exclusive cell modem remote access, enabling us to set up even the
largest field networks remotely. Further,these field networks can be
wireless, eliminating costly conduit and cabling runs. Finally, our
exclusive FilterSmart technology is helping water and wastewater plants
