BACKGROUND:
The Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Avanti Company was advertised to the public
on CCUA's Bonfire Procurement Portal for seven (7)business days. On July 24, 2023, TESCO Controls
sent an e-mail to Procurement offering to quote and sell McCrometer flowmeters. Staff made contact with
McCrometer, Inc. which confirmed that Avanti Company is the exclusive sole source Representative for
a all McCrometer products in the State of Florida. Further, this sole-source procurement will allow for the
- purchase of related equipment and supplies (not just flowmeters).

E CCUA will negotiate a sole-source procurement to purchase McCrometer Municipal Water Meter
Products,related equipment, and supplies. CCUA would contract this procurement with Avanti Company
ce
as they are the exclusive sole source Representative for all McCrometer products in the State of Florida
for the Municipal Market.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant sole source status to Avanti Company for the
purchase of McCrometer Municipal Water Meter Products and related equipment and supplies.

Representative for all McCrometer products in the states of Florida,Alabama, and Georgia for the
Municipal Market.
This includes the McCrometer Water Specialties Propeller Meters,Ultra Mag Flow Meters,McCrometer
Propeller Meters,FPI (Full Profile Insertion)Flow Meters, SPI(Single Point Insertion)Flow Meters, V-
Cone Flow Meters,Dura Mag Flow Meters and our McCrometer CONNECT(telemetry)product line.
This Sole Source Letter shall remain in effect until further notice.
