Request for advance approval to utilize other government contracts

BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2023, the Board of Supervisors provided advance approval to procure services
and/or materials utilizing other government contracts for Fiscal Year 2023/2024. The approval did
not include the government contract referenced below.
• Sourcewell Contract No. 101221-VAC— Staff budgeted for the purchase of a Vac-Con
Vacuum truck with a Freightliner Chassis for the Distribution and Collections Department. As
the result of a competitive solicitation, these items are available for purchase through a
Sourcewell contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors advance approval for utilization of the
Sourcewell Contract No. 1012211-VAC in Fiscal Year 2023/2024 for planned and budgeted
purchases.
