Date: February 15, 2024 BACKGROUND: On April 8,2019,the Board of Supervisors approved the Sole Source status of SUEZ Treatment Solutions Inc. On January 16, 2024, CCUA Staff was notified that SUEZ Treatment Solutions Inc. was acquired by Veolia WTS Services USA, Inc. (Veolia). Veolia provides CCUA's Wastewater Department with ABW Filters that provide additional treatment of the wastewater effluent prior to disinfection and distribution to reuse. The ABW Filters are sold only by Veolia, an original equipment manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment equipment. BUDGET: The Wastewater Department budgeted $500,000 in FY 23/24 Budget for filter projects. RECOMMENDATION: Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors approval of the name change from SUEZ Treatment Solutions Inc. Solutions to Veolia WTS Services USA, Inc.
