UPCOMING Executive Director's Message
EVENTS As we step into April, traditionally a transition into the summer months here in Florida, it's
fitting to acknowledge the significance of water conservation. April has been proclaimed as
Water Conservation Month by the State of Florida, alongside agencies like the St. Johns
Picnic at the Par River Water Management District, as well as various municipalities and utilities. I'm pleased
April 6th to share that our Board of Supervisors officially approved this proclamation during our
recent meeting on March 20th.
Cutover to SpryPoint& At CCUA, we take pride in being recognized as leaders in water conservation efforts. Our
Invoice Cloud Conserving Clay initiative, particularly noteworthy for its proactive approach in notifying
April 22nd customers of potential leaks after three days of continuous usage, continues to receive
commendation. In fact, our latest report to the Board revealed that this program has
contributed to conserving over 357 million gallons of water since its inception in December
2014. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our
entire team, and I extend my heartfelt appreciation to each one of you for your ongoing
commitment to helping our customers conserve water and save money.
While we celebrate these achievements, we are also navigating significant transitions in our information systems, including
the adoption of Workday, SpryPoint, and Invoice Cloud. I want to express my gratitude for your professionalism and
patience as we work through the intricacies of these transitions. These systems offer us enhanced capabilities to operate
more efficiently and effectively in serving our customers, and your cooperation and adaptability are invaluable during this
process.
As we embark on the preparation of the budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, I encourage you to communicate any operational
needs or benefit considerations to your supervisors. Your insights and input are essential in ensuring that the proposed
budget accurately reflects our operational plan for the coming year.
With summer fast approaching, many of us are beginning to plan vacations with family and friends. While enjoying these
well-deserved breaks is important, it's equally crucial for us to maintain safe and reliable services for our customers. I urge
you to coordinate your vacation schedules with your supervisors as soon as reasonably possible to ensure adequate
coverage and seamless operations during your absence.
Once again, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to each member of our team for your continued dedication and hard
work. Together,we are making a positive impact on our community and fulfilling our mission at CCUA.
Thank you for all that you do.
Jeremy
