BACKGROUND:
The Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Carl Eric Johnson, Inc. (CEJCO) was
advertised to the public on CCUA's Bonfire Procurement Portal for seven (7) business days. As a result,
no interested firms or individuals responded with capabilities to provide the Grundfos Water Utility/Water
Distribution & Treatment Equipment, Maintenance and Related Services.
Grundfos Water Utility, Inc. sent the attached letter with the authorized products stating CEJCO is the
exclusive sole Authorized Representative, Service Provider and Distributor for the entire State of Florida.
If approved, the designation will permit staff to purchase Grundfos Water Utility/Water Distribution &
Treatment Equipment,Maintenance and Related Services from CEJCO utilizing the Departmental Capital
Budget process.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant sole source status to Carl Eric Johnson, Inc. for
the purchase of Grundfos Water Utility/Water Distribution & Treatment Equipment, Maintenance and
Related Services.

throughout the entire state of Florida. The product roster covered under this exclusivity
encompasses:
