Request for advance approval to utilize other government contracts

BACKGROUND:
On September 19, 2023, the Board of Supervisors provided advance approval to procure services
and/or materials utilizing other government contracts for Fiscal Year 2023/2024. The approval did
not include the government contract referenced below.
• Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) of Florida Contract No. 56120000-
24-NY-ACS (Furniture, All Types) — Staff budgeted for the purchase of conference room
furniture for the new Administrative Building.
As the result of a competitive solicitation, these items are available for purchase through a DMS
contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors advance approval for utilization of DMS
Contract No. 56120000-24-NY-ACS in Fiscal Year 2023/2024 for planned and budgeted
purchases.
