Clay County Utility Authority(CCUA)is focused on protecting the health of every household in our connuunity. This notice contains important information about your drinking water. Please share this information with anyone who drinks and/or cooks using water at this property. I Resident Information CCUA is working to identify service line materials throughout the service area.Currently.the material First Name* that the water pipe(called a service line)that connects your home or buildinn(s)to the water main is unknown but may be lead.This does not necessarily mean there is a problem.If your house was built after 1959.your service line is likely plastic or copper because Florida banned the use of lead pipes that year. If your house was built before 19S 9 and your service line material is unknown.there is the potential that some or all the service line could be made of lead or galvanized pipe that was previously connected to lead.CCUA staff have reviewed records and conducted field verifications and have not found any lead service lines currently in use.In fact,CCUA staff cannot find evidence that lead was ever used as a pipe material in our service area.However.federal and state regulations require that we notify our Last Name* customers of the current status of their service line because people living in homes with a lead pipe,or a galvanized pipe previously connected to a lead service line.have an increased risk of exposure to lead from their drinking water.
