Governors Park LS & RWPS.pdf.1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY AGENDA ITEM: Change Order No. 4 to the 2022/2023-A06 contract with Sawcross, Inc. to install landscaping for the Governors Park Wastewater Lift Station and Reclaimed Water Pump Station project CCUA Project No.: 1127-004 CCUA Financial Job No.: 22003SP Date: February 19,2025 Staff requests the Board's approval to execute Change Order No. 4 (CO4) with Sawcross, Inc., to install landscaping for the Governor's Park Wastewater Lift Station and Reclaimed Water Storage and Pump Station Project. BACKGROUND: Sawcross was awarded the contract to construct the Governor's Park Wastewater Lift Station and Reclaimed Water Storage and Pump Station Project in March 2023. The project is one (1) of three (3) to provide water, wastewater, and reclaimed services to the Governor's Park and Peters Creek service territories. When the construction contract was awarded to Sawcross, the building permits were not finalized. As part of subsequent permitting, the county required the development of a landscape plan for this site. CCUA's engineering consultant, Ardurra, led the design for the project and engaged and worked with a professional landscape designer to develop a plan deemed acceptable to the County.Sawcross sought quotes for the landscaping installation, which was approved. The cost to provide and install the required landscaping, including Sawcross's contractually permitted overhead and profit markup,is$177,754,98.This is the most reasonable cost from a reputable provider that meets the County's minimum standards. BUDGET: The contract amount for the Governors Park Wastewater Lift Station and Reclaimed Water Pump Station project is$7,683,000.00. $50,000.00 will be credited from the remaining allowance in this contract amount. The remaining $127,754.98 will be drawn from the overall project's contingency. The following budget summary shows a total budget of $88,344,258.08 and includes a $3,155,570.00 project contingency. Current contracted and pre-purchased amounts total $86,942,871.51. This leaves a remaining contingency of$1,401,386.57.
