March 2025
IRECTOG°°@ ESSA@
March has arrived, bringing with it the kind of beautiful weather that reminds us why we love living in
Florida.I hope everyone had the chance to get outside and enjoy it over the first weekend of the
month.
March also comes with some interesting weather folklore. The saying goes that if the month comes in
like a lion,it will go out like a lamb—and vice versa.Since we've had such a calm and pleasant start,
let's hope we don't see the flip side of that prediction as the month progresses.
With March comes the anticipation of Spring Break. The Clay County School District will be on break
from March 17-21,so if you're planning to take time off, please be sure to coordinate with your
supervisor in advance. And speaking of March 1.7,don't forget to wear green for St. Patrick's Day—
everyone could use a little extra luck from the Irish!
1
This month also brings exciting news for several members of our team. Please join me in
congratulating Ashley Taliaferro on her well-deserved promotion to Communications and Public
Relations Specialist.Additionally, congratulations to Claire Smith and Courtney Hinson on their
transition into Buyer positions within the Procurement Department. We're proud to see our team
members grow in their careers.
We also have a new addition to CCUA.William Hersey will be joining us as IT Manager on March 24,
bringing with him extensive experience from both the U.S.Army and a municipality in central
Florida. We're excited to welcome William to the team and look forward to the leadership and
expertise he will bring to our excellent IT department.
As we move further into March,we also begin preparing for the next fiscal year's budget. Please
coordinate with your supervisors and department leaders regarding any budget needs so we can plan
accordingly. This also applies to anyone looking to take advantage of CCUA's tuition assistance
program—if you're considering enrolling in courses,please let us know what classes,tuition costs,and
book expenses to account for in the budget.
Lastly, for those interested in our next unofficial golf outing,be sure to sign up! I'll be working to
balance the teams based on skill level to keep things both competitive and fun,and I'm also planning
a few surprises to make the event even more enjoyable.I hope to see many of you out there.3rd Golf

Stay safe.

National Engineers Week is celebrated the same week as his birthday!

clean, safe water for our Clay County residents.Their innovative solutions transform wastewater into
reclaimed resources, safeguarding our environment and community health.

We have seasoned engineers who have been in the water industry for decades, but we also have newer
engineers that have been working on water research since their teens!
Thank you to our engineers for everything they do!

Recently, i've been dealing with health
issues that forced me to either change
my eating lifestyle or continue eating
whatever I want which would harm me in
the long run. Lately, I have made many
improvements on my everyday eating
and been learning to cut back on sugar
and processed foods and go green! I eat
a greek yogurt bowl for breakfast along
with having protein shakes through-out
the day and healthy greens such as
salads as well. My next goal is to work out
constistently and lose weight and gain
muscle as well.
