As we welcome UPCOMING EVENTS April, I'd like to highlight a few exciting updates. First, congratulations to David McDonald, John Fuquay, Curtis Copeland, Jerry OFFICE CLOSURES: Ley, Wesley Bland, and Bryce Holeman for receiving the 2024 Wastewater Plant GOOD FRIDAY APRIL 18,2025 Operations Excellence Award from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Their dedication to excellence at the Mid-Clay Regional Water Reclamation Facility is truly commendable—please join me in APRIL BOARD congratulating them! MEETINGS I'm also pleased to welcome William Hersey to our IT Department. Will joins us APRIL 1 from the City of Melbourne, bringing a wealth of experience and technical APRIL 15 expertise, along with the discipline and leadership of a decorated U.S. Army veteran. We're excited to have him on the team! APRIL BIRTHDAYS April is also Water Conservation Month, and we encourage everyone to be mindful of how we use this precious resource. CELEBRATING FIVE YEARS OF LEADERSHIP: HONORING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JEREMY JOHNSTON Last month, we celebrated a major milestone for our Executive Director,Jeremy Johnston—five years of outstanding leadership! Jeremy took on this role in - March 2020, right as the world was shutting down. While most people were hoarding toilet paper, he was busy leading CCUA through unprecedented times 's with a steady hand and a sense of humor. Since stepping into the role in March1104 of 2020, Jeremy has guided Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) with vision, integrity, and a commitment to progress, fostering collaboration and driving meaningful change. U ,, II fi' r a' His leadership has brought several key initiatives to life. He spearheaded the I` development of a comprehensive Strategic Plan, providing a clear roadmap for ^� sustainable growth. Under his guidance, the Integrated Water Resource Plan was implemented to address long-term water sustainability. He also led a crucial Rate Study, ensuring a fair and balanced financial approach to support operational efficiency. Through the Regional Water Supply Plan Partnership, Jeremy strengthened regional collaboration, enhancing water supply planning :' F efforts across North Florida. Additionally, he oversaw a Procurement Policy update to streamline processes and improve efficiency. His commitment to professional development led to the introduction of the PDTP Training Policy, reinforcing continuous learning opportunities for our team. Lastly, he played a 's key role in implementing the ERP System, which has significantly improved efficiency and financial management across the organization. Beyond these achievements, Jeremy has fostered a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence. His leadership continues to make a lasting impact ` on Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) and the communities we serve. Thank you,Jeremy, for your dedication and leadership.
