To: {Water Direct Customers} Cc: Bcc Subject: April 2025 Tariffs on Sensus Water Products In April 2025,the U.S. government enacted additional tariffs on imports. As of April 11th, higher tariffs are now imposed on China (+145%), Canada and Mexico (both +25%for goods excluded from the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA), and all other countries (+10%). On April 9, the government paused previously announced reciprocal tariffs for 90 days; however, the tariffs noted above still currently apply. At Xylem,we have actively worked to mitigate the impact of tariffs on our customers by evaluating our supply chain and manufacturing processes. However, we are unable to mitigate their full effect. The tariffs affect several Sensus water and infrastructure hardware products. Even products manufactured or assembled domestically may still be subject to tariffs, as many components are sourced globally. As a result, Xylem is implementing a revised tariff surcharge on all water hardware and water infrastructure hardware products.These new percentages replace prior tariff surcharges. The following surcharges will be applied. Where a percentage (%) is listed, this %will be applied to the unit price of each hardware product. Tariff surcharges will then be summed up and will appear as a separate line item at the bottom of each invoice, similar to how taxes or freight charges are displayed. No additional taxes will be applied on top of these surcharges. To keep the process as simple as possible to execute for both Sensus and our customers, we calculated a weighted average across our entire hardware portfolio and this resulted in the surcharges listed. i Tariff Surcharges: • Water Hardware Products (Meters, SmartPoints, Parts, etc.): 5.5% • Water Infrastructure Products (Base Stations, R100NA): 5.5% To ensure the efficient processing of your orders, we kindly ask our direct customers (those not served by a Sensus distributor)to acknowledge these tariff surcharges via email. Please send your email acknowledgment to your sales representative upon receipt of this notification to help facilitate the management of your orders. *Note, even if you acknowledged the previous surcharge announcement, we ask you to acknowledge again via email to your local salesperson. At Xylem,we believe that implementing a surcharge is a more transparent and manageable approach than increasing product prices. Many of our customers agree that this method provides greater transparency and flexibility. Additionally, applying a surcharge—rather than a price increase—reflects our expectation that these tariffs will be temporary. The surcharge will take effect on April 14, 2025, and will be removed immediately once the Administration lifts the tariffs. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025,the U.S. government imposed an additional 10%tariff on imports from China, bringing the total incremental tariff on Chinese imports to 20%since the beginning of 2025. 2 At Xylem,we have actively worked to mitigate the impact of these tariffs on our customers by evaluating our supply chain and manufacturing processes.
