HomeMy WebLinkAbout04.b Minutes Workshop Session 012326 MINUTES CLAY COUNTY UTILITY AUTHORITY WORKSHOP SESSION January 23, 2026 The Board of Supervisors of the Clay County Utility Authority (CCUA) met in a Workshop Session at the Ray O. Avery Administrative Complex located at 3176 Old Jennings Road at 8:00 A.M. for the purpose of an informational tour. Item No. 1 —Tour The Workshop Session began at 8:00 A.M. Chairman McNees, Vice-Chairman Petty and Supervisors Bourre, Hingst, Lebesch, McCall, and Taylor were in attendance. Ms. Lebesch left the tour in progress. Also present on the tour were the following members of CCUA's staff; Executive Director Jeremy Johnston, Chief Operations Officer Darryl Muse, Chief Human Resources Officer Kimberly Richardson, Assistant COO/Distribution & Collection Department Superintendent David Rawlins, Assistant Chief Engineer Joe Paterniti, Water Department Superintendent Jason McLain, Wastewater Superintendent David McDonald, Customer Service & Billing Manager Diana Strickland, Enterprise Systems & Analytics Manager Ben Freeman, Communication and Public Relations Specialist Ashley Talliaferro, Administrative Assistant Operations Alicia Ellis, and Grady H. Williams, Jr., legal counsel to the CCUA. Clay County Commissioners Alexandra Compere and Jim Renninger, County Manager Howard Wanamaker, and other distinguished guests from the SJRWMD, NFWUA, Bradford County, and Putnam County also participated in the tour. After opening remarks from Executive Director Jeremy Johnston, attendees viewed a presentation regarding CCUA's billing system provided by Customer Service & Billing Manager Diana Strickland and a demonstration of Cartegraph, CCUA's Asset Management System, presented by Enterprise Systems & Analytics Manager Benjamin Freeman. A tour was conducted of CCUA's SCADA Center located within the new Operations Building. The group then traveled to the Miller Street Water Reclamation Facility where staff reviewed its operation and the planned upgrades for the plant. Staff also provided a demonstration of CCUA's Vac-con and Cues TV truck. The next stop on the tour was the Meadowbrook Water Treatment Plant and Lift Station 9 - Meadowbrook 1 where the attendees reviewed the planned facility upgrades which are currently under construction. The tour was concluded at Lift Station 3 -Foxbay where an expansion and upgrade project was recently completed. No action was taken during the Workshop Session. The tour was conducted to familiarize the attendees with CCUA's daily operations and plant functions. The Workshop Session ended at approximately 11:15 A.M. Michael C.
