BACKGROUND:
The Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to TSC-Jacobs was publicly advertised on
CCUA's OpenGov Procurement Portal for a period of seven(7)business days.No responses or objections
were received from other potential vendors during the posting period.
To further ensure compliance and transparency, staff contacted Connelly-GPM, Inc. to verify its
authorized distribution network. Connelly-GPM, Inc. confirmed that TSC-Jacobs is the exclusive
authorized distributor and service provider for the Iron Sponge® product, which is manufactured, sold,
and distributed exclusively by Connelly-GPM, Inc. Because no other company manufactures a similar or
competing product,the Iron Sponge®product can only be purchased through Connelly-GPM,Inc. and its
exclusive authorized distributor, TSC-Jacobs.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff respectfully requests the Board of Supervisors grant Sole Source status to TSC-Jacobs Florida, LLC
for Odor Remediation Products and Services.
