The submittal then required two additional revisions and resubmittals to address comments and obtain final approval. These extended review cycles delayed the manufacturing and procurement of the Xylem pump equipment by approx.9 weeks,directly impacting the project critical path and remaining beyond the Contractor's reasonable control. Accordingly,we respectfully request a contract time extension of 45 calendar days for this instance. This will result in Substantial Completion to be July 21,2026 and Final completion to be August 20,2026. CONTROL PANEL DELIVERY-During procurement time of the Control Panels for this project,DB Civil was notified by our Subcontractor, RCM,that the Control Panel delivery would be delayed beyond the 12 week delivery schedule given by the panel vendor,Xylem. DB Civil and RCM conveyed this information Clay County during progress Meetings No.3 and No.4. The date for shipping was adjusted by the vendor several times from May 2026 through July 2026, and has now committed to July 13,2026. Xylem provided a letter,attached, stating the shipping date was delayed due to a specified transducer component being on back order. The inability to procure a key component of the Control Panel by Xylem,has delayed the manufacturing,shipping,installation of said panel. DB Civil and RCM anticipate receiving the control panel by July 21,2026. On July 10,2026,DB Civil submitted an updated Schedule reflecting the July 21st delivery as well as the remaining activities to complete the project. Based on our updated schedule,Substantial Completion will be on August 21,2026 and Final Completion will be Sept 18,2026. Based on this information,DB Civil request an extension of 31 calendar days in addition to the above requested 45 calendar days,creating a total of an additional 76 calendar days be added to the Contract time. This will result in Contract Substantial Completion Date to be August 21,2026 and Contract Final Completion Date to be September 18,2026. The Contractor is requesting that additional Contract Days be added to the Contract due to material delivery delays. Jones Edmunds has reviewed the attached supporting documentation that included a letter from Xylem, the control panel manufacturer, informing the Contractor of a backorder resulting in unforeseen delay. Additionally, the Contractor has provided a revised construction schedule that has taken in account for the previous requested time of 45 days and the unforeseen delay resulting with 29 additional days. Jones Edmunds recommends that the Contractor be granted 74-additional days to the current contract.
